Welcome to the Nursing Department. Through this information, we hope to give you a brief overview of the Nursing programs, instructors, and student career.

Introduction

Badin Medical & Dental Complex is the oldest and a state of the art Institution in Southern Punjab and now going to launch another state of art College of Nursing which will offer the BSN (4years Degree) POST RN BSN (2 Years) CNA, and LHV (2 Years) programs.
College of Nursing BMD Complex has got well equipped state of the art lecture theatres, well equipped Laboratories, learning and resource center with a library and an IT lab. With availability of a huge collection of books and online resources. College of Nursing BMD Complex has senior most faculty members with vast experience from different area of Pakistan
College of Nursing BMD Complex has its own 500 bedded Modern Teaching Hospital “The Badin Medical & Dental Hospital” which is available within premises of the campus. Which will help the students to lay the foundation for working as professionals in the future. It allows the students to gain a general outlook of medical processes and systems by observing different patients in relevant field.

It is my privilege to welcome you to College of Nursing BMD Complex, Badin. The Nursing Profession is the Noblest of all professions and in immense demand globally, offering a highly rewarding career. Nursing, according to me, is a unique profession which has a combination of Cognitive, Psychomotor and affective domains. Nursing education empowers one to lift oneself from darkness to light. The nursing profession is currently being forced to redefine quality in order to uphold professional standards and enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction due to the growing societal awareness of health issues and different technology advancements.

Our goal is to prepare compassionate, skilled nurses who can serve at both national and international levels, equipped with a strong foundation of ethical values. Admission & Eligibility Criteria

The following Admission Policy is formulated to comply with the requirements of regulatory bodies:

DEGREE PROGRAMS

  1. Generic BSN (04 years Degree Program)
  • Qualification:  FSc (Pre-Medical) with 50% marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects).
  • Age Limit: 14-35 years.
  • Gender Ratio: Open merit
  1.  Post RN BSN/Post RN BSM (02 years Degree Program).

Qualification:

  • Matric with Science (Biology, Chemistry & Physics as compulsory subjects) OR Matric Arts as per HEC Notification No.8 (61)/A&A/2018/HEC/5998 dt. 06.04.2018.
  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Diploma in Midwifery (any Post Basic Specialty for males in lieu of midwifery)
  • Experience: 01 year as RN

DIPLOMA PROGRAMS

  1. Lady Health Visitors (LHV) (02 years Diploma Program).
  • Qualification: Applicant must meet one of the following academic levels
  • FSc (Pre-Medical) with 45% marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects)
  • Matric (Science) with 45 % marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects)
  • Age Limit: 14-35 years
  1. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (02 years Diploma Program)
  • Qualification: Applicant must meet one of the following academic levels
  • FSc (Pre-Medical) with 45% marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects)
  • Matric (Science) with 45 % marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects)
  • Age Limit: 14-35 years.

ADMISSION PROCESS

  1. The admission to above nursing programs shall be made strictly based on merit. The applications through the online portal of the college shall be accepted for scrutiny and merit formulation.
  2. It will be the responsibility of the candidate to provide all academic & personal documents as required by the college prior to the last date of admissions as specified on the website.
  3. Communication with the applicants will be through by telephonically provided by the applicants.
  4. Visiting the college website for day-to-day updates will be the responsibility of the applicants.
  5. Admission will remain conditional subject to verification of all documents, and passing interview and written test.
  6. Personal appearance for verification of documents and interview is mandatory.
  7. Admission offer will be valid only on fee deposit within the stipulated period given below.

Only those candidates who have passed F.Sc. with 50% marks in pre-medical or any equivalent examination shall be eligible for admission. No age limit no entry test required.
